About Bastrop County Subdivisions Bastrop County is very diversified and offers lots of wonderful choices to home buyers. With Austin being so close Bastrop County has become a bit of a bedroom community for those buyers looking to have all of the amenities that a big city has to offer within a short drive but in a more rural environment.There are wonderful subdivision scattered throughout the County. Hunters Crossing and Riverside Grove are a couple of developments right in the town of Bastrop. Tahitian Village, and Pine Forest are great examples of subdivisions that are nestled in the pines with light covenants. ColoVista is an upscale development that surrounds a top notch golf course just outside of Bastrop in the pines. If you like a little more space The Colony, River Crossing, and La Reata Ranch are just a few of the rural residential developments with larger "estate style" properties. For lake living you can consider Indian Lake or Lake Thunderbird. The river lifestyle is offered in Doty River Estates.
