Bastrop County 

Bastrop County is located south east of Austin and the County seat is the town of Bastrop. Bastrop County is vibrant and growing. The Colorado River winds it’s way thru Bastrop County on the way south to the Gulf and the towns of Bastrop and Smithville are right on the river.

Paige – Located east of McDade  on Highway 290 and north of Bastrop out Highway 21

Smithville – Located east of Bastrop on Highway 71

Cedar Creek – Located east of Austin on Highway 71 past Austin Bergstrom International Airport

Watterson – Located along Watterson Road between Highays 20 and 304 just south of Bastrop

Rosanky –  South of Bastrop and just a bit east of Highway 304 on Farm to Market  535

Red Rock – Junction of Highway 20 & Highway 812

Bastrop – Highway 71  at Highway 304, and 95

Things To Do In Bastrop County

There is plenty of fishing in area lakes and the Colorado River in Bastrop County, not to mention the larger acreages that have private lakes, and stocked tanks! There are two large parks for hiking and for the golfers there are four golf courses. Recently the Hyatt Regency developed a beautiful destination resort property. There is a dinosaur park and a small zoo among other attractions.
