Bastrop Texas getting a new convention center!
Bastrop is getting a new Convention Center! It will be a 26,000 sq. ft. facility located on Chestnut Street. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2011. Just across the street the new City Hall is under construction and scheduled to be completed It is currently in the process of being built and should be completed by this summer. This is exciting news for Bastrop. Other new construction I have seen in the Bastrop area are all of the hotels that are under construction. I am guessing that they are being built in anticipation of the business that the new Convention Center and future venues will bring. Bastrop is growing!
