My husband and I love to kayak. A few weeks ago we went to the North Shore Park of Lake Bastrop for a paddle. Thought I would share some pictures and information about the park and lake. There is day use, and overnight camping. There are RV spots and also small cabins to rent. You can fish the lake with a license. There is a nice swim beach, and sand volleyball court. The restrooms have shower facilities. There are a couple of pavillions for parties, and picnic sites with grills.

Renewal & Revival in Indian Lake
Indian Lake is an older lake community that is having a revival in popularity. For years it was a small, fairly unknown spot, with single wide homes, manufactured homes, log cabins, and some site built homes that accommodated vacationers as getaway properties, as well as some year round residents. There are quite a few lots that have not been developed over the years, that are now becoming popular due to their pricing and the location of the subdivision. With this renewed interest there have also been some great remodels of existing homes, and new homes built. It is still what I would call a mixed bag but as time goes on and financing becomes non existent for old single wide mobiles they will disappear and become a thing of the past.
The private lake is not big enough for motorized boats but is perfect to kayak and canoe in. The lake has been stocked in the past for great fishing.
