Bastrop County Historical Museum

Over the holidays I went to see the Bastrop County Historical Museum for the first time. Has taken me this long to get caught up enough to share how cool it is! It is like walking in to the past! Lots of information on the people who settle Bastrop and the surrounding areas in Bastrop County. Great historical items to look at. And wonderful facts about what life and commerce was like back then. Well worth the visit and the small donation.

Smithville has a Bark Park!

This weekend I took my dog Edsel with me to change out some real estate signs and put out some flyers and we made a slight detour in to Smithville to see the new Bark Park. We have been to the Bark Parks in Bastrop and the one on Riverside in Central Austin and enjoyed them both. Smithville has done a great job and their Bark Park is really nice and user friendly!

The Smithville Bark Park is located across the street from the Skate Park and right behind the community center is has a section for small dogs and larger dogs. There is an agility course in each section as well as nice water and “poop” stations. Young trees have been planted which will provide lovely shade for the summer months and there is a picnic bench with umbrella too!

My husband and I have had quite a few dogs over the years that have always been a part of our family! There are benefits as well as challenges in dog ownership! I know many of you dog owners understand what I mean! If you are looking to Buy or Sell real estate as a dog owner and want to work with a Realtor who understands please contact me, I would love to help you!

Take a peek at this short video I prepared and see how nice the Smithville Bark Park is!

249 Pine Hill Loop

I have just listed a home on 1+ acre in the lost pines in Bastrop Texas. The home is an older manufactured three bedroom two bath with split floor plan, with both formal living and dining area. The home is in a small relaxed subdivision located approx 4.5 miles out of Bastrop. This small area of homes in the pines is just east of Hwy 71 and is surrounded on three sides by the Bastrop State Park. The roads are paved. This lot is a bit larger than most and actually had a second mobile home on it which was recently removed. The utilities are still in place and it might make a great location for a shop/garage/ or RV pad and hook up. This home is being sold as is and the Seller will consider owner carry terms. Being so close to three area golf courses, Lake Bastrop, the Colorado River it is a great location for someone looking for a small getaway property. Listed at 58.000 For more information on this property please contact me.

Video and information on Tahitian Village in Bastrop

I just posted a new video of the subdivision called Tahitian Village in the “lost pines” area of Bastrop Texas. Tahitian Village is located just off Hwy 71 a bit southwest of Bastrop by a few miles.

Nestled between the highway and the Colorado River it offers homes and homesites in the rolling hills and pine trees, as well as on the Pine Forest Golf Course. Some homes and lots have views of the Colorado River.

Currently homes for sale in Tahitian Village range in age from the mid 1980’s to brand new custom builds, and the size of the homes range from from 1200 to 3100 sq. ft and priced from 107,000 to 285,000.

If you are looking for a home in the pines in Bastrop near golfing and the river consider looking at Tahitian Village. Contact me directly for more information and buyer representation!
